“Every child is an artist” ~ Picasso

Paint, markers, crayons, chalk, tape, glue, scissors… the choices are endless. But do you know why art is so important for young children?

  • Gives them a chance to express themselves.
  • Allows them to explore their creativity.
  • Helps develop their fine motor skills.
  • Encourages them to think outside the box.

 But there’s more…

Art also encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, which are essential for success in life. It helps children develop an appreciation for beauty and encourages them to think about the world in a different way, while giving them ownership over their learning and allowing them to explore their own interests. Art is also a great way for children to build self-confidence and self-esteem!

Art is a learning area that brings so many valuable lessons to a child that they will carry with them long after the paint has dried. 🎨
