Highly recommended! This is fun. Fun. FUN! And has been super educational for our daughter! I’m loving that it’s not heavy duty on the prep work for mom, because she’s not quite at an age where she can build a volcano without significant help. She has wanted to try a volcano experiment for a while and this, paired with a sensory table makes for a great exploration activity! Just make sure you have lots of supplies for multiple runs- one “explosion” is never enough! And be sure to cover the floor- it’s gonna get messy- yayyy!

Great desert unit add on or a stand alone for math!

We added this to our desert unit to help make sure our daughter had plenty of math activities.. at first glance it seemed a little small, we’ve tried other math games from hand2mind and learning resources and this is not a big box- don’t allow the smaller size to fool you! It’s chock full of math games and ideas to make your own games with the included pieces and spinner! We started with the cards doing simple patterns, color sorting.. then addition and subtraction. Soon our daughter was making up her own “games” and inviting us to play and learn with her! It turns out this is not only a fun game but also a great open ended learning tool that encourages your child to learn and explore.
